CNVC stands for Center for Nonviolent Communication, which is a world-wide organisation devoted to promoting peaceful and effective communication.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a way of communicating that is focused on establishing harmonious connection between parties, or even with oneself. It has been developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D. who was drawing principally on the humanistic psychology of Carl Rogers. Rosenberg has worked in high-conflict situations throughout the world, and his approach is now internationally recognised as a means of creating connection across boundaries.
NVC is highly practical and learnable by people of different backgrounds.
